DIY:riley and kimberly.

hello darlins'
hope your thursday morning is going beautifully.
i promised you photos of the projects i've been working on and i am ready to deliver.
i have been working like a mad-woman finishing these things up for kimberly and riley
seeing as i'm leaving for their colorado affair next weekend and i'm so so excited to put this together.
their midsummer night's dream, shakespearean, tree inspired wedding is going to be a blast.

i'm going to share photos mostly rather than DIY tutorials but if you have any questions about how-to's feel free to email me- contact@laceandlikes.com-or if there's one that stands out to you lovelies, let me know and i'll do one later on ;)

kind of hard to make out, but these are their "branded" favor bags
 (burlap bags, custom stamp)

been spray-paintin' away. you'll have to wait to see the completed project next week but...
(tan burlap, metallic gold spray paint, sweet folky stencils-from michaels)

remember these?

well they turned into these
(mossy green burlap, vintage gold frames, stencils and spray paint)

can't throw a party without a good mustache, right?

got a little too into this one- ps can you see the gold spray paint on my fingers?!? serious spray-paintin.
(thick felt, skinny dowels, fabric shears, hot glue)

and finally, one of my favorites-a flower girl crown of purple buds.
(gold ribbon, dried purple buds, wrapped wire, hot glue)

ps-their amazing invites which i completely forgot to share
designed by my best friend alexandria
water-colored by the bride and bridesmaids

disclaimer: sorry for all the different photo filters.
i know what i'm asking santa for this christmas-a really nice camera.

happy day! almost the weekend!!!

projects galore.

i have been D.I.Y-ing like a mad woman, as you can see.
these are for kimberly and riley's august nuptials.
decor, signage an old military wooden crate for their guest book, flower girl basket etc.
i've been covered in moss and have already torn through one of my bags of hot glue.
do you ever find yourself in those situations?
stay tuned...more projects to come!

wedding profile: riley and kimberly.

it's about 70 days or so out now for a wedding i'm doing in colorado
and i am getting so so excited to put everything together for this amazing couple
originally we had planned on doing a sort of rustic/vintage inspired affair with lots of candlelight and some tree inspiration here and there...

well we've kept the candlelight but now the wedding has become much more whimsical- incorporating green leaves all over, hanging flowering trees for their backdrop and moss, lots and lots of it.
almost like a midsummer night's dream (without costumes-that might be taking it a little too far)
now the theme has become a dreamy, vintage, lace, tree inspired extravaganza and i cannot wait to share the final product with all of you once its all put together.

here is their inspiration board i've been working on via pinterest

and the lovely couple:

i'm totally stoked to work with the killer wedding photography duo of weheartphotography on riley and kimberly's big day. these two deserve such a special day, they are two wonderful and humble people who are just beside themselves to get to spend the rest of their lives with each other.
how cute are they!?!? and how incredible is her ring? (an antique 1920s dream!)

i'll definitely be sharing projects this summer as i gear up for their august nuptials-so keep an eye out for some DIY action!
have a lovely tuesday!
