wedding shoes
Thank you Vivienne Westwood for your incredibly delightful little treats for our feet.
These will look way too good with my wedding dress! And thank you oncewed for opening my eyes to them!
Finding these inspired me to search for many more shoe delights. I have seen so many brides with so many wonderful shoe choices. And considering my photographer, Tec Petaja, who is known for taking pictures of the feet/shoes of the bride and groom, I knew it would be essential to find some truly fun and unique shoes. Here are some fun delights I stumbled upon:
flats: for those of us who have tinier future husbands (such as myself), or maybe just want to be comfy on our big day.

for the neutral toned bride
for the new years eve bride
for the classy bride

I cannot wait to marry the best man I know and my best friend.
I miss him all of the time.
I'm exhausted.
Just need to get through this next week then Christmas break will save me.

Vintage Love Shoot
I wish Noah and I looked like this everyday of our lives. This is adorable. Why can't we live in the 40s?

Bread of Many
So as I searched around for a stationer to work with to create my invitation suite, I found myself becoming frustrated. People were too expensive or unable to help me. Blah. Blah. Blah. However, then I stumbled upon BreadofMany and found Haley. Her style and creativity are jusssssssssst. (aka really really great). We've already developed a Save the Date together, here are some of the inspirations I sent her (if you're a wedding guest, you'll have to wait to see it!):

Holly and Billy: Too Good to Handle
This wedding is just killing me right now:

Holly made most of the personal touches and details involved in and throughout the wedding and reception. Bahhh. This wedding is just phenomenal. Check out the rest of it here.
florist, check.
Hannah of Modern Bouquet will be designing the florals for our wedding! I came across her site after perusing through the Knot. I was thus far disappointed in several sites I had viewed and then Modern Bouquet stole my little heart. The variety displayed on their site is what got me; she has done all sorts of florals for all sorts of weddings.
After meeting at Starbucks with my mama and Hannah I was just all the more excited to have her do our wedding. She completely got my vision and was just as thrilled about the florals I showed her as I was. She put together an estimate for us. I just about died when I opened it imagining what my florals would look like. Bridal bouquet of peonies with stems exposed, baby's breath bunched down the aisle, maid's bouquet of peonies, ranunculus, atsilbe, eucalyptus, table scapes with vintage vessels (provided by me!) filled with lush greens, ranunculus, queen anne's lace, atsilbe, hydrangea, baby daises, garden roses, potted plants, wheat, amaranthus, dahlias all in a loose open design. yummmmm. something kind of like this:

Only You
Wedding Song: Only You(And You Alone) by The Platters
check it out:
Lyrics:
Only you
Can make all this world seem right
Only you
Can make the darkness bright
Only you, and you alone
Can thrill me like you do
And fill my heart with love
for only you
Only you can make
All this change in me
For it's true
You are my destiny
When you hold my hand
I understand
The magic that you do
You're my dream come true
My one and only you...

Decor
I have been laboring (sarcasm--because I love it) over the past few weeks.
Frequenting several swap meets and going on thrift store runs, all to attempt to find as many tarnished silver trays/jugs, oddly/organically shaped vases, all things colorful, lace, old books and so on. Alex and I set up a shoot in our backyard to showcase several of the pieces I've found. I am so excited about all of them:

the start
this blog is being birthed out of my necessity to record processes that i undertake and experiences experienced.
specifically in this case: the process of creating my wedding day.
i've always pictured what it would be like and now i can actually start to piece it all together.
each step i take i will be recording on this blog along the way.
