i had seen a wedding at Harley Farms here and was just absolutely smitten with it! not to mention my friend Brent VanAuken photographed it. this venue is incredibly charming and totally unique. i mean, who knew you could get married on a goat farm? still waiting to hear back on pricing from them, but they do include catering- a farm-fresh feast. i'll update this later on when i hear back from them!
i know its silly that i don't have all the info but i just couldn't resist sharing this one with you all.
i came across this venue after a certain lady reached out to me and asked me to find her some barn venues in north carolina. let me just say, there are so many awesome barn venues in north carolina. i wish there were that many barns in southern california, maybe i would have changed my whole game plan.
you can have your ceremony and reception in their amazing loft or elsewhere on their gorgeous property. price includes tables, chairs, staffing to help with the event, set-up/breakdown and clean up.
location: Bermuda Run, NC
price range: $1,000-$4,000 depending on which location you choose
**this price rents whichever location for the full day. 8am-midnight!
capacity: doesn't specify, but the loft is 7,000 square feet
i can finally share with all of you the warm, wintery tablescape i did with deb over at BridalHood since it was featured on forgetmeknotweddings last week!
we were inspired by yarn and warm tones and accents.
we used a ton of candlelight and deb has an incredible fireplace in her hood river home
so we included that as well.
our original plan was to do the shoot outside but it was rainy that day so we improvised.
check it out:
one of our DIY projects, the yarn/nail table numbers
we also wrapped bunches of bottles in yarn, you can see how that project was done here
our fancy smores: ginger snaps, dark chocolate, salted caramel, bacon maple and praline marshmellows. you know we ate them all after the shoot!! too good.
this was probably one of my favorite elements. a simple yarn installation hung in front of deb's massive window overlooking her gorgeous backyard. we simply strung one tighter piece from end to end then draped the rest over it. simple, pretty, cozy.
i hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed getting together and doing it! we will be working on another upcoming project together and will be sure to share it with you along the way.
first, i hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. i've got some fun things planned to share with you next week! but for now, i've got a venue coming your way.
following the feature on SMP i got an email from a lovely bride who needed help finding a unique venue in Chicago that could hold the capacity of her big italian family's guest list. she is an absolute doll and i wanted to help her out, so i started doing some research and found this place:
the MCA in Chicago has several gorgeous spaces to have your wedding, but this one is definitely the largest and my favorite. it is a huge space with exposed brick walls and old windows, wood floors and rustic/shabby chic elements to it. you can make it your own, which is what's so unique about it. they also have a sculpture garden for an outdoor ceremony.
i'm definitely sending this one to my new Chicago friend!
it also received the knot's best of weddings award the last 2 years.
