menswear

menswear. oh what can i say about menswear.
so inspired by these men

this is what i would dream of noah and the boys looking like on our wedding day.
the rat pack. (perhaps a little less baggy on the jackets, however)
i am absolutely loving all of the vintage inspiration menswear is getting in
many weddings i've seen recently.
it's classic without being too overdone.

the following three pictures are something similar to what the boys will be wearing.

the handsomeness. i can't even stand it. i can't wait to see all of our friends coming down
the aisle all mismatched and vintaged.

P.S.

I think these garter's are so fun and pretty.
I'm trying to keep away from the lace and frills found on many-a-garter.
What do you think?

headpiece

as it gets closer to my dress finally getting into the boutique where I ordered it (YAY), I've begun searching all over for the sort of headpiece I think would fit perfectly with my dress/wedding.

however, I need help. you see, my fiance loves birdcage veils and they go well with our whole theme/vintage vibe for the wedding. I love them too, and since my dress is rather, hmmm, lets say "dramatic" I wanted to keep it more simple for my headpiece. BUT, my dear, sweet mama LOVES chantilly lace veils; she cried when I put one on. I think they are gorgeous also, and they too go along with the vintagey goodness. all of this=DILEMMA

Here are a few, that I thought were some promising contenders:

so if I could, I would ask that whoever reads this leave a comment or suggestion to help me solve my headpiece dilemma. also if you know of any other great etsy shops or other shops that sell some beautiful delights I would love it if you would share!

ps. keep in mind that we are getting married on a ranch and are incorporating some country inspiration as well!

projects.projects.projects.

I can't believe I still have to be in school when all I want to do is the numerous DIY projects I want to start doing for the wedding! Here is a list of a few:

1. ribbon/flag banners

2. continue finding all sorts of great vintage vessels for the tables
3. pinwheels (lots and lots)

4. napkins
5. covers for what will be hay bail seats by the bar
and on and on the list goes.

as I start and complete projects I will definitely be posting them.
